Cardamom Deepwater

Completions & Well Intervention Engineer

A reservoir hiding four miles beneath the seafloor, under a salt canopy that blinded conventional seismic. I engineered the completions and rotated offshore to execute them from a semi‑submersible 225 miles off New Orleans — supervising a crew of 120 — and we brought first oil home through the resurrected Auger platform.

Indigo Subsea Cable

Global program lead, trans‑Pacific & intra‑Asia submarine cables

Nine thousand kilometres of fibre across the Indian Ocean to loop Australia into the cloud. I led the integrated build — technical, legal, commercial — across five countries, and served as technical focal point for the swap strategy that returned $150M. FASTER, Unity, SJC, and JGA sailed under the same command.

Search Latency

Latency product owner, Google Search

Every millisecond between a question and its answer costs something. I owned the roadmap that decided which milliseconds died first, across frontend, backend, and silicon, and shipped Fastpath, cutting response time for Google Assistant.

03 About

The expedition lead.

I've shipped product from 31,000 feet below the seafloor to the cloud.

Over a decade ago my office was a semi-submersible in the Gulf of Mexico, engineering completions for wells that reach nine and a half kilometres into the earth. Since then I've laid fibre in the ocean for Google, owned the latency roadmap for Google Search, kept critical infrastructure alive at Twitter, and now build the AI beneath AWS Marketplace.

Every one of those was the same job: take a team somewhere unmapped, keep them safe, and come back with something that works.
